How long does Kate usually play for?
- Ceremony: Up to 1h prior to the ceremony, during the ceremony, and whilst photos are being taken in a ceremony room or church.
- Drinks Reception: Entire time of the drinks reception.
- Wedding Breakfast: Entire time of the wedding breakfast (dinner).
- Evening Entertainment: 2 x 20 mins or a bespoke arrangement with the couple.
What does Kate’s typical Wedding Ceremony consist of?
Here is a simple guide as a starting point.
- Violin Performance as guests arrive in advance of the wedding ceremony: Selection of classical & popular pieces for around 30 minutes
- Violin Performance as the Bridal enters the venue (The Processional): Your chosen piece (anything you wish)
- During the Church ceremonies – all hymns alongside the organist (subject to receiving the score in advance)
- Violin Performance during the signing of the register: Your chosen piece(s)
- Violin Performance as you both exit the venue (The Recessional): Your chosen piece
- Violin Performance as guests leave after the ceremony: Selection of classical & popular pieces for around 20 minutes max (not in conjunction with drinks or wedding breakfast)
When would Kate arrive?
You can expect Kate to arrive about an hour and a half before your guests, which is about how long it takes for Kate to set up for amplified performances.
What if there is no power supply at the venue?
Kate will come equipped with portable generators to power amplifiers.
Can you provide pre-recorded music to play during breaks?
Certainly. Anything it takes to make your special day more momentous, Kate is happy to help.
What equipment does Kate use?
- PA system – Bose LS1 Model 2 – can amplify up to 500 people – mostly used during inside drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and evening entertainment.
- AER compact mobile – Ideal for outside drinks receptions.
- AER compact 60 – for wedding ceremonies.
- All equipment is PAT tested and Public Liability Insurance is current.
